Game Design Demo Reel 2018

The Harvester, the Shooter and the Runner is a three-part series created as a learning experience in the Unreal Engine within the span of 4 months using blueprints.

The Harvester was inspired by the Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons series and features:

  • Buying, planting, watering, growing and selling crops

  • NPCs with personalities, affection levels, preferred gifts and unique dialogues

  • Calendar system including minutes, hours, days, seasons and years

  • Menu-less shop system for quick and easy purchases

The Shooter was inspired by the Mass Effect series and features:

  • Fully functional ammo reloading system

  • Skeletal blend nodes to allow the player to aim wherever they want in any animation and/or pose

  • Basic enemy AI

  • Player and enemy health, armor, shield and barrier levels

The Runner was half-inspired by Temple Run and features:

  • Procedurally generated obstacles, enemies and pickups

  • Touch controls including swipe and tap

  • Lane-based movement similar to Little Big Planet

  • Physics and ragdoll for added amusement
